Malang, November 21, 2025 — The AI Talent Factory (AITF) program, organized by the Center for Digital Talent Development under the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, has successfully concluded Phase 2. In this phase, participants developed datasets, performed model fine-tuning and continual pretraining, optimized Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and built the core components for two primary case studies: the Digital Talent Pool (DTP) and Digital Space Oversight.
This phase serves as a vital foundation in shaping the participants' technical capabilities to design and develop comprehensive artificial intelligence pipelines, ranging from data preparation to the creation of supporting model modules.
Following this structured learning series, the AITF program will immediately enter Phase 3, focusing on the integration, evaluation, and end-to-end refinement of AI systems. This stage is expected to strengthen participants' ability to build AI solutions that are ready for testing and real-world application.
The commencement of this phase was marked by Workshop 3 of the AITF program. The workshop was designed to deepen participants' technical competencies through presentation sessions and interactive discussions with experts in Large Language Model (LLM) development.
The workshop was officially opened by the Head of the Center for Digital Talent Development and AITF Expert Tutor, Mr. Said Mirza Pahlevi. In his opening remarks, he expressed his hope that the AITF program would provide a profound learning journey for top digital talents, particularly those specializing in artificial intelligence. He also emphasized the importance of AI literacy and technical skills for Indonesian digital human resources to remain competitive and contribute to the development of the national AI ecosystem.
During the expert lecture session, the program featured Shunsuke Kamiya, Ph.D. (cand.) from Matsuo Lab, University of Tokyo, who presented on Deep Learning Fundamentals. In this session, participants gained not only theoretical understanding but were also granted access to hands-on practice using learning facilities provided by Matsuo Lab.
The subsequent session featured an industry speaker, Muhammad Maliqi Akbar from Alibaba Cloud, with the theme "Accelerate Your Transformation in the AI Era." During this session, participants engaged in discussions and gained insights into AI technology trends, industrial implementation, and the opportunities for digital transformation based on cloud computing and LLMs.
