The AI Talent Factory (AITF) program was successfully held thanks to a close collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kementerian Komdigi) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) to prepare digital talents capable of answering real-world challenges. Through this intensive program, 20 selected participants successfully developed a tangible product in the form of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Dashboard for Public Communication and Media Issue Monitoring based on Generative AI. This innovative system is tailor-made to meet the needs of the Directorate General of IKP (KPM) to automate multi-platform data crawling, analyze sentiment, detect early crises, and compile tactical daily briefs as well as standby statements for policymakers. The successful implementation of this cutting-edge LLM model, which trained hundreds of millions of text, visual, and audio tokens, proves that local talents are ready to become creators of adaptive national technology and innovation.
The success of this first batch has also sparked an international sustainable commitment, with the AITF program officially gaining full support from JICA Japan and transforming into AITF Next Generation. This strategic move is aimed at expanding the scale of grooming resilient future AI Engineers. Following up on this success, registration for AITF UGM Batch 2 is now officially open until July 6, 2026, via digitalent.komdigi.go.id. Through the active involvement of global industry partners such as AWS, Huawei, and Google, this ongoing collaboration is expected to continuously foster excellent digital innovators who possess high integrity to support the nation's technological sovereignty
