The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs continues to accelerate Indonesia’s national digital transformation through the implementation of Workshop II of the AI Talent Factory (AITF) 2026, held at Universitas Brawijaya.
This initiative represents a concrete step by the government in mentoring selected digital talents to develop impactful artificial intelligence solutions for society through a rigorous progress review process aimed at optimizing the accuracy and reliability of the AI models being developed.
Collaboration became the key focus throughout the direct mentoring sessions led by technical mentors and academics, where participants explored various technical challenges ranging from data integration to algorithm optimization, ensuring that the resulting prototypes meet both industry and government standards.
One of the major missions of this workshop is to create AI-driven solutions to address critical issues in Indonesia, including disinformation management and child protection in digital spaces. Participants’ insights were further enriched through expert lectures featuring cutting-edge technologies such as Agentic AI and Multimodality, supported by infrastructure from Google and Amazon Web Services.
The success of this series of activities in Malang serves as an important foundation for young innovators to advance to the next stage in realizing Indonesia’s sovereignty in artificial intelligence technology.
