Indonesia’s digital transformation continues to advance through the strengthening of talent in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The AI Talent Factory (AITF) 2026 Workshop, held at Universitas Gadjah Mada, reflects the commitment of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs in fostering national technological independence.
Entering its second phase, the program no longer focuses solely on strengthening foundational concepts, but also on comprehensively monitoring project progress. Participants receive intensive mentorship to ensure that every AI-based solution developed is capable of addressing real-world challenges in the public sector.
Advanced topics such as Agentic AI and multimodality have become strategic areas of focus in encouraging the development of adaptive, autonomous innovations capable of processing multiple forms of data in an integrated manner.
More than just a training program, the workshop also serves as a collaborative platform for cross-disciplinary talents. The synergy between government and academia creates a productive learning ecosystem where ideas, perspectives, and solutions can continuously evolve.
With increasingly refined competencies, these digital talents are expected to make meaningful contributions toward achieving Indonesia’s technological sovereignty and strengthening its global competitiveness.
