The AITF x Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) collaboration is an artificial intelligence (AI) talent development program that focuses on addressing national challenges through a project-based learning approach. This program brings together participants, academics, industry practitioners, and stakeholders to develop AI solutions that are relevant, impactful, and ready for implementation.

During the program, ITS develops two main use cases:

DFK (Disinformation, Defamation, and Hate Speech)
The development of AI models to detect and classify disinformation, defamation, and hate speech through multimodal analysis, including text, images, videos, and audio. This system is designed to provide actionable recommendations to support faster and more accurate decision-making.

Child Protection in the Digital Space
The development of AI models to classify content and accounts on digital platforms into harmful or child-friendly categories. In addition, an educational chatbot is developed to help parents enhance their understanding of child protection in the digital environment.

In the process of developing these use cases, participants engage in various learning and development activities, including:

AI Exploration – Independent learning to deepen AI knowledge through journals, research, and digital materials.

Self-paced Learning – Completion of learning modules and assessments through the Komdigi LMS.

Brainstorming – Intensive discussions among participants, teams, lecturers, technical mentors, and speakers to exchange ideas, evaluate progress, and identify solutions.

Use Case Development – Implementation of solutions based on project stages and team role distribution.

Expert Lecture – Public lectures and knowledge-sharing sessions from experienced AI practitioners and academics.

Workshop & Demo Day – A series of three workshops and one Demo Day, where each team presents their progress at every phase and receives guidance and feedback from mentors, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Through this program, AITF x ITS is expected to produce outstanding AI talent while delivering tangible solutions to support a safer, healthier, and more competitive digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
