AI Talent Factory (AITF) is an initiative by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs aimed at developing highly capable, inclusive, and sustainable AI Talent Practitioners. This program is part of the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) and aligns with the National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap White Paper.
In 2025, Universitas Brawijaya Malang became the first university to collaborate in the implementation of AITF. This partnership marks an initial step in fostering synergy between the government and higher education institutions to strengthen the digital talent development ecosystem, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.
AITF is designed to enhance Indonesia’s readiness in facing the rapid global advancement of AI, with a focus on mastering cutting-edge technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), model fine-tuning, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents. Through practice-based learning, independent exploration, and mentorship from experts, participants are trained to solve real-world problems in both government and industry sectors.
This program prepares graduates to develop practical AI solutions for national needs while also empowering them to transfer knowledge to future talents—creating a sustainable learning ecosystem toward national AI talent independence and the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
